Starting my own business has been an amazing experience! When I left my job in corporate America, I did not know what I was going to do. What I did know is that I needed to leave. The "security" of a corporate job no longer was leverage to keep me engaged. I needed more, I needed to take a stand, make a change and leave my mark.
I am a subject matter expert on what my business does and I know what I want to achieve as a business and as a leader. As a business leader, I must create an environment that reflects my passion in order to duplicate my efforts. People are what makes an organization. I always knew this as a manager, but I found out that corporate culture comes from the top and changing a culture without the support of leadership is a long uphill battle that is not worth the struggle.
What an amazing opportunity to create solutions for businesses that has true value! The icing on the cake and the cherry on top is the differentiation! Corporate culture starts with a clear vision of leadership by hiring the right people and ensuring compliance with core values.
